Hi. My name is Maria and I have been running Music classes in Dronfield for the past ten years. After many years of singing professionally on the club circuit and running a busy family household, I wanted a job that I enjoyed, where I could use my talents as well as my past experience of The Early Years from childminding and something which could work around my own family commitments and I have to say that becoming a part of The Jolly Melodies Music Company is the best thing that I ever did. I feel so lucky to be on touch with so many lovely families on a daily basis and I can honestly say that I love going to work – singing all day and seeing how the programme can play such a vital role in a young child’s life is incredibly rewarding for me. To see everyone having fun and making music part of their lives is just fantastic.

About My Classes

The Jolly Melodies programme will take your child on a musical journey from birth until they go to school. The structured weekly music classes are designed to encourage singing, listening and social skills. They will develop a sense of rhythm which will also help with learning and speech development. The fabulous music and songs are a mixture of traditional tunes and songs that are unique and original to our delightful programme.

There are three age groups

JOLLY BABIES (birth to approx 15 months),

JOLLY TODDLERS (approx 15 months to 3 years)

JOLLY INDEPENDANT (3-4yrs)

Feeling sad to be coming towards the end of our journey with Maria now it is almost time to start school. I remember all the times I stepped into class feeling exhausted. But then we quickly became absorbed in Maria's magic and I forgot all of the stresses of work and the pressure of trying to balance everything with being a good Mum.

And during the lockdown it has meant so much to have our classes continuing virtually; Maria's smiles and personal touches have allowed us to forget for a while what's happening with the world outside. It has been amazing to watch my son's confidence grow each week at Music with Mummy and Three Four Time. We have many wonderful memories. And we will take away with us many favourite songs that I know we will continue to sing over and over again in the years to come.

We absolutely love going to music with mummy.... It's our happy place😁 Maria is fantastic and my boy loves singing along to the songs.... Even outside of class. We started in 2018 as a Jolly baby and can't imagine not going to class.
