Hi, I’m Lisa and I run Jolly Melodies classes for families in the local areas of Whitchurch, Hengrove, Headley Park and Stockwood. Overall I have run classes for almost 5 years with a maternity leave inbetween and a change in location thrown in for good measure!

I feel like the luckiest person in the world knowing that I get to spend my mornings having fun with your little ones whilst helping them to develop new skills and hit milestones.

I’m also a Primary School Teacher with a specialism in Early Years and I have 3 children of my own. All of my children have loved attending our local Jolly Melodies classes since they were tiny babies so I have seen first hand the amazing impact that I know this wonderful programme has.

All my classes are warm, friendly and relaxed. Parents! You don’t need to worry about how you sound when you sing, your voice is the most wonderful sound in the world to your baby and toddler. In my classes you’ll not only make friends but hopefully make memories with your children that you can take away with you.

Jolly Babies is a wonderful introduction to the world of music for you and your baby. Everything we do is suitable from birth and each 30 minute class combines singing, dancing, percussion, multi-sensory props and relaxation time. Some songs you will recognise and others are fabulous originals that become favourites! You’ll notice lots of repetition in class which is crucial for this age group to embed the songs and patterns of movement. It’s a real joy being part of those special ‘firsts’ when babies start to roll, sit, clap, crawl and walk. We end with bubble time which is a real favourite, everyone enjoys the awe and wonder of the floating bubbles!

Jolly Toddlers is the next step forward and full of exploration and fun. This class is suitable for 15 months plus and a brilliant way to start building on the skills that toddlers will use in pre-school and beyond. Through a carefully planned series of topics, toddlers will learn new musical concepts alongside other important skills like sharing, taking turns, building confidence, listening, making new friends, following instructions and lots more. Some of the topics we cover are Transport, Pets, Our Day, Colours, Rain, Spring and of course the seasonal favourites, Christmas and Eggs!
